I believe the major theme of this play is the American dream, this is because you can see different aspects of the American dream in each of the characters. In Walter you can see him wanting to be a business man and to be able to earn his own money and be the man of the house. In Mama you can see her wanting her own home to live in with her family. In Beneatha you can see the desire for education, to be able to pursue her dreams.
The main idea of the story is how the American dream. It was different for everybody in the Younger family. For Mama it was to own her own house so that way Travis has a yard to play in. For Walter it was the money so he could become the provider. And Benetha it was education.
The main theme of the play is the American Dream. They all want to be able to do what they want without being brought down and be free. Walter wants to be the man of the house and provide for his family. Mama wants to have a home that she can call her own. Beneatha wants to become a doctor even if nobody thinks she can.
In my opinion the major theme is the American Dream. I believe this is the major theme because everyone in the play had their own version of the American Dream. One example is Mama's dream of having a house that Travis can play in the yard and she can have a garden for her plant. Walter's American dream is having money and being successful and that is why he invests in the liquor business. Another example is Bennie and her dream of being a doctor. Everyone has their own version of an /American dream and that is why the American dream is the major theme.
I think the major theme of this play is family because if the Youngers stay together they will be just fine. Mama bought the new house because she thought her family was falling apart.
I think the major part about the play is the plant. Mama talk about the plant being dead and needing light and that is a symbol to the play because Walter and the family needs help just like the plant does. Mama says," I'm fixing the plant so it doesn't get hurt none of the way," symbolizing her trying to have her family grow together and become the family she knows she raised. At the end of the play the sunlight begins to shine on the plant giving them hope and mama leaves with the plant symbolizing the moving on of the family. The family moving to the new house and Walter actually acting grown up.
I think the big picture is that life does not have t be all about money, it is about family. Is to show that not everything in life is good but you can make good come out of this. That you ma do something bad but you don't anything from people. You may not have much but when you have family that is all you need in life
In my opinion the major theme of the play is the American Dream. The entire play is centered around each member of the family wanting their specific idea of the American Dream. For example, Mama's dream is to have a beautiful house with a garden, which is her idea of the American Dream. Walter's idea of the American Dream is to be able to provide for the family, and have a successful job with an office. The American dream is present throughout the entire play, and I believe it is the major theme.
I believe family is the main theme of the story. Being together and going through hard times but coming back together and loving each. Being able to talk through things and fight things out if they have too! When Walter gave the money to Willy Harris and he took all the money and they didn't have anything left. When Walter told Mr. Linder to come over so they can talk to him. Being able tell her Linder that they don't want the money they want to live in the house that they bought with there money. Having to love each other no matter what happen at the end of the day. Being able the cry for one another through the thick and the thin.
I think that the major theme is knowing what really matters in life. throughout the story mama tries teaching her children that money is not the only thing that matters in life. near the end they both her children realized that money wasn't the only thing that matters in life, family is what matters.
In my opinion, the theme of the story is the American dream. Every person in the Younger house has a different dream. Walter wants to be a provider which is shown when he wants to own a business and earn money. Mama wants to own her own house and have a loving family. Beneatha wants to become educated and be a doctor. Even though every person had a different dream, all were important and able to be achieved.
I think the major theme is the American dream. They all talk about having dreams and mama talked about how their father thought dreams were important. Mama says she wants to buy a house. Ruth says she wants money to go to school to be a doctor.
one of the major themes of the play is perseverance one example from the text is when mama says "I come from five generations of people who was slaves and sharecroppers but aint nobody ever let nobody pay em as a way of telling em they aint fit to walk the earth." Another major theme is pride and an example is when Walters says "we come from people who had a whole lot of pride." So in my opinion pride and perseverance are two major themes in this play.
The major theme of the play is the American dream. Everyone in the play has their own idea of the American dream. Mama wants a nice home life for Travis, Walter wants to make as much money as possible and "live large". while Benetha wants to go to college and be a doctor.
I think the American dream is the major theme of the play. Walter is living the American dream by having pride, and not letting anyone boss him around. It's good to see Walter do the right thing. He finally found his pride and his father would be proud. on page 1111 Walter tells Linder he doesn't want his money and he is moving in the new house. Mama is now living the American dream because she can finally live in her new house that she owns. She wont have to share a bathroom or live in a rundown apartment. Mama was right when she said there is always something left to love on page 1110. The time to love somebody the most, is when they are going to a rough time.
The American dream is the best theme to this play. Mama wants a new house for Travis and on page 1083 she tells Travis all about the house and that someday it will be his. Walters American dream is to make money. On page 1088 he tells about the nice things that he wishes to have in the future after he makes money with the liquor store. The American dream is the major theme because everyone wants to be wealthy or someone someday.
In my opinion the main idea of this play is family. Throughout the play, family is the number one aspect. Even though Walter Lee and Bennie fight sometimes, they are there for each other at the end of the play. The family goes through some tough times in the play because of their money situation. When Walter hits rock bottom after he lost the money, he thinks that taking the money from Mr. Lindner will help them out, but mama and the rest of the family do not agree but they let Walter make the final decision. In the end Walter thinks of the family, and decides to reject the offer.
I think one of the major themes is about family. One reason is because mama buys a house so the family can live in a nicer and bigger place. Also it is Walter's dream to have a nice job and provide for his family and live in a nicer place. The Youngers would do anything for there family.
I think that the main idea of this play is the American dream. Everybody in the family has a different dream. Walter wants to be a business man and make money, mama wants to live in a better house and Beneatha wants to be a doctor.
I think the main theme of this story is the American Dream because in the whole story it talks about each person's dream. For example Walter wanted to buy his own liquor store and beneatha wanted to become a doctor and mama wanted to live somewhere else so she can grow a garden. And eventually they all moved out of the house and now they r going to move into a house where mama can grow a garden and they can play outside. Everyone in the end was really happy about the move.
In my opinion I believe the American Dream is the major theme in this play. I think this is the major theme in this play because everybody had important dreams that they wanted to accomplish in their life. For instance, mama wanted a new house that offered extra living space because she didn't want to share one anymore. Beneatha wanted to go to medical school and Walter wanted to own his own liquor store.
in my opinion the major theme of the play is American Dream. the play is talk about want the other family want in there life to do with the money. mama want her dream to come true that she made with her husband before he past away. so mama go the beautiful house she want to live in with her family. walter want to be able to help his family out and have ajob to help pay for his family.
Perseverance. Walter pursues his dream of being a businessman with the money, and then again when he decides that he wants the family to move into the house.
I think that the major theme of the play is The American Dream. The American Dream is having a great family, a nice house, a happy family, to be successful, and to have a dream. The Youngers are an example of a family chasing The American Dream. The Youngers want to get a nice home together so that they can keep their family together. This shows that the Youngers are looking for a way to keep their family together so that they can be happy together. The Youngers also want to be successful. Walter wants to start a business with his friends so that he can become the provider and the man of the house.
In my opinion the theme of this play is the American Dream and Family. The American dream is a big part because they want a new house and live how they want to live. Family is also a big part because family needs to stick together and that's what they do they all have each others back.
The main theme of the play A Raisin in the Sun is hope, hope to live the American dream. Hope gave the Younger family to keep moving forward chasing the dream no matter the circumstances. Mama buying the house and Walter deciding to finally move into the house are perfect example of the family chasing the American dream with hope.
In my opinion, I believe the major theme of the play is the American dream. The theme of the American dream is present in many ways throughout the play, affecting the characters' decisions and their behaviors. Walter's dream was to become a business man and use the insurance money to invest in a liquor store. On the other hand, Mama's dream was to purchase a house for Travis's sake. For Beneath, her dream was to finish her college education and pursue a career as a doctor.
To me the theme of the play was family. An example of that is when Walter changed his mind from taking the money to keeping the house for the sake of his family. Another example is when mama talks about how to love people in your family throughout the play.
The main theme of the play is that is that there is more than life than money. When mama talks to beneatha she realizes that she should love walter even though he did wrong.
I feel the theme of the play is the American Dream. For example Walter throughout the play wanted a liquor store to make a lot of money. Mama wanted to take care of the family so she bought a house that everyone can enjoy and Travis could have room to play outside. After Walter makes money he will work in a office and pay for Travis' college fund.
I think the major theme is "The American Dream" because Mama wants to buy a house to bring the whole family together and live happy. That is what ends up happening after mom buys the house Pg.1083 shows Mama is excited that she bought a house.
I believe the main theme is the American dream. I believe the American dream in this play is to be successful and to make yourself better. It's mainly shown through Walter wanting to open the liquor store to make money and support his family. Another character it's shown through is Bennie. Bennie displays this by wanting to be a doctor and becoming successful herself and not having aman make all the mone4y to support her.
